Hydrogenated tolyltriazole

Wintrol^® THT is a unique modification of tolyltriazole that gives this molecule a more hydrophobic characteristic. Wintrol^® THT gives excellent copper protection and also provides limited corrosion inhibition to aluminum and steel. Calgon has a patent for this material indicating this material is more resistant to chlorine attack in a cooling tower than tolyltriazole.

Wintrol^® 39 is a hydrocarbon-soluble triazole. Wintrol^® 39 is a tolyltriazole modified to form a distinct molecule. This liquid material blends directly into common mineral oils without the need for a co-solvent.

Wintrol^® 42 is a modified tolyltriazole yielding a water-soluble material. Wintrol^® 42 is ideal for inhibitor concentrates that require a tolyltriazole content greater than solubility limits.

Wintrol^® A90 is a special blend of triazoles that allows an active inhibitor content of 90% without elevating the pH or using a solvent. Wintrol^® A90 is ideal when a non-hazardous material is required. This corrosion inhibitor can replace sodium tolyltriazole, benzotriazole or tolyltriazole in water-based formulas.
